“ですから、あなたがたに言います。求めなさい。そうすれば与えられます。探しなさい。そうすれば見出します。たたきなさい。そうすれば開かれます。
だれでも、求める者は手に入れ、探す者は見出し、たたく者には開かれます。
あなたがたの中で、子どもが魚を求めているのに、魚の代わりに蛇を与えるような父親がいるでしょうか。
卵を求めているのに、サソリを与えるような父親がいるでしょうか。
ですから、あなたがたは悪い者であっても、自分の子どもたちには良いものを与えることを知っています。それならなおのこと、天の父はご自分に求める者たちに聖霊を与えてくださいます。」”

９“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.10For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?12Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?13If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
