アイデンティティにおける霊的成長を目指して②
「あなたの神、主は、あなたのただ中にあって救いの勇士だ。主はあなたのことを大いに喜び、その愛によってあなたに安らぎを与え、高らかに歌ってあなたのことを喜ばれる。」（ゼパニヤ3:17）
近年では珍しく、笹沖教会、津山教会では出産ラッシュとなり、新しい命の誕生を喜ぶ恵みにあずかっています。赤ちゃん
の存在は本当に不思議で、その存在だけで喜ばれ、すべての人を笑顔にさせてくれます。ただそこにいるだけで愛されているというのは、神さまの愛の原点であるとも言えます。
冒頭のみことばにおいても、神さまは私たちのうちにいてくださって私たちに力を与えてくださることを約束してくださっています。そして、私たちのことを大いに喜び、愛によって安らぎを与え、高らかに歌って私たちのことを喜んでくださっていることを教えています。
私たちは何かに成功したら愛される、何かを成し遂げたら認められると考えがちで、いつもDoingで愛を確認しようとしています。しかし神さまの愛は、Beingを愛してくださっていることに皆さんは気づかれているでしょうか。もし何かをしたら神さまから愛されると考えるなら、それは大きな誤解です。
私たちの存在価値は、神さまが「高価で尊い」(イザヤ43:4)とすでに決めておられます。この神さまから離れますと、自分の価値を見失います。神さまは私たちを愛によって成長させてくださろうとしています。いつも「私は神さまに愛されている」と宣言し、主の愛に応答して歩ませていただきましょう。
Aiming for Spiritual Growth in Our Identity②
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17)
Recently, we have been blessed with an unusual “baby boom” at both Sasaoki Church and Tsuyama Church, and we are sharing in the grace of celebrating these new lives. The presence of a baby is truly miraculous; they are cherished simply for existing, bringing smiles to everyone around them. Being loved just for “being there” can be described as the very starting point of God’s love.
In the opening scripture, God promises that He is within us, granting us His strength. It teaches us that He rejoices over us greatly, provides us rest through His love, and celebrates our existence with joyful singing.
We tend to think that we will be loved if we succeed, or recognized if we achieve something—constantly trying to confirm love through our “Doing.” However, have you realized that God’s love is directed toward our “Being”? It is a great misunderstanding to believe that God will love us only if we perform certain acts.
God has already decided our value, declaring us “precious and honored” (Isaiah 43:4). When we distance ourselves from Him, we lose sight of our own worth. God desires to grow us through His love. Let us walk forward by constantly declaring, “I am loved by God,” and responding to the Lord’s immense love.
