キリストに根ざして
「キリストのうちに根ざし、建てられ、教えられたとおり信仰を堅くし、あふれるばかりに感謝しなさい。」 （コロサイ2:7）
神学生の頃、恩師から「色々な教会を渡り歩く人は、一周回って最初の教会に戻ってくるんだよ」という話を聞いたことがあります。岡山県だとあまり当てはまらないかと思いますが、特に都会では自分の教会に行くまでに、多くの教会を通り過ぎていく人が多いですから、途中下車してよその教会へ行くということはよくあるケースのようです。
冒頭のみことばは、パウロがコロサイのクリスチャンたちに宛てて記した手紙の一部分ですが、間違った教えに惑わされ、真理から離れる人々が出てきた中で、キリストに留まるように教えたものです。教会に間違った教えが入ってくるのは、古今東西、常に警戒されるべきものです。笹沖教会もタラッパンによって、津山教会も全能神によって痛手を受けました。また何も間違った教えだけが教会を引き裂くわけではありません。人間関係のこじれや誤解、不信感や自分が気に入らないといったトラブルが理由で、教会から神の家族が引き裂かれるという痛みを経験するものです。
大切なのは、まず私たち一人ひとりがキリストに根ざして歩むということです。サタンはあなたの心の隙を狙ってあらゆる方法で、キリストから、また神の家族から引き離そうと機会を狙っています。そのことを知り、私たちがへりくだって主の御前で、誠実に歩むことが求められていることを覚えましょう。
Grounded in Christ
”rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.“The Epistle to the Colossians２：７）
When I was a seminary student, I heard my mentor say, “People who wander from church to church eventually make a full circle and return to their first church.” This may not be very applicable in Okayama Prefecture, but especially in urban areas, many people pass by numerous churches on their way to their own. Therefore, it seems common for them to stop midway and visit other churches.
The Bible verse at the beginning is a part of the letter Paul wrote to the Christians in Colossae, where he taught them to remain in Christ amid people being led astray by false teachings and departing from the truth. The infiltration of false teachings into the church is something that must always be guarded against, both anciently and today, globally. Sasaoi Church was damaged by the $\text{Talappang}$ (or $\text{Tarappan}$), and Tsuyama Church was hurt by the $\text{Almighty God}$ (Eastern Lightning) group. Moreover, it is not just false teachings that tear a church apart. We often experience the pain of God’s family being torn away from the church due to relationship conflicts, misunderstandings, distrust, or simply discontent.
The essential thing is for each one of us to walk rooted in Christ. Satan is constantly looking for opportunities to exploit the gaps in your heart and use every means to separate you from Christ and the family of God. Knowing this, let us remember that we are called to humble ourselves and walk sincerely before the Lord.
