キリストが地上で残された最後のことば
「全世界に出て行き、すべての造られた者に福音を宣べ伝えなさい。」（マルコ16:15）
プロテスタント教会には馴染みがありませんが、カトリック教会のカレンダーでは、今週14日（木）がキリストの昇天記念日とされています。これは、キリストが十字架で死なれ、3日目に復活され、40日の間、ご自身を多くの人に現され、その後、天に昇れた日を記念しています。
最後に残される言葉というのは、とても重みがあります。私たちにおいても、遺言は非常に大切になされているものです。そうであれば、キリストの地上での最後のお言葉にも、私たちは信仰に立って注目し、重要視しなければなりません。
キリストは地上での最後にお語りになられたお言葉として、福音をすべての造られた者に伝えることをお命じになられています。このことにどれほどの熱意、思いを込めておられるのかを、私たちは汲み取り、取り組んでいくというのが、キリストに愛され、キリストを愛する者としての在り方です。
私たちは日常生活の中で、つい、自分のことで精一杯になったり、弱さの中に引きこもったり、福音宣教ができない言い訳を考えてしまいがちです。またどこかで交わりだけで満足してしまいがちです。しかし、それも含めて主はご存知で、あなたのことを包み、愛してくださっています。
宣教に取り組む言葉も、熱意も、主がご用意くださいます。自分のことを傍に置いて、宣教のためにみんなで一緒に祈ることから始めませんか?
The Great Commission
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15)
While it may not be familiar to all Protestant churches, the Catholic calendar marks this Thursday, the 14th, as the Feast of the Ascension. This day commemorates Christ’s ascension into heaven after His crucifixion, His resurrection on the third day, and His appearances to many over the following 40 days.
A person’s final words carry immense weight; we treat a last will and testament with great importance. In the same way, we must stand firm in our faith and give our utmost attention to Christ’s final words on earth.
As His parting message, Christ commanded us to spread the Gospel to all creation. As those who are loved by Christ and who love Him in return, we should embrace this mission with the same passion and heart that He poured into these words.
In our daily lives, we often get preoccupied with our own concerns, withdraw into our weaknesses, or find excuses not to share the Gospel. Sometimes, we become complacent, seeking only the comfort of fellowship. Yet, the Lord knows all of this, and He still enfolds you in His love.
The words and the passion needed for mission are provided by the Lord Himself. Why don’t we start by setting aside our own worries and joining together in prayer for the sake of the Gospel?
