マルコの福音書 14章 １～9節
“過越の祭り、すなわち種なしパンの祭りが二日後に迫っていた。祭司長たちと律法学者たちは、イエスをだまして捕らえ、殺すための良い方法を探していた。
彼らは、「祭りの間はやめておこう。民が騒ぎを起こすといけない」と話していた。
さて、イエスがベタニアで、ツァラアトに冒された人シモンの家におられたときのことである。食事をしておられると、ある女の人が、純粋で非常に高価なナルド油の入った小さな壺を持って来て、その壺を割り、イエスの頭に注いだ。
すると、何人かの者が憤慨して互いに言った。「何のために、香油をこんなに無駄にしたのか。
この香油なら、三百デナリ以上に売れて、貧しい人たちに施しができたのに。」そして、彼女を厳しく責めた。
すると、イエスは言われた。「彼女を、するままにさせておきなさい。なぜ困らせるのですか。わたしのために、良いことをしてくれたのです。
貧しい人々は、いつもあなたがたと一緒にいます。あなたがたは望むとき、いつでも彼らに良いことをしてあげられます。しかし、わたしは、いつもあなたがたと一緒にいるわけではありません。
彼女は、自分にできることをしたのです。埋葬に備えて、わたしのからだに、前もって香油を塗ってくれました。
まことに、あなたがたに言います。世界中どこでも、福音が宣べ伝えられるところでは、この人がしたことも、この人の記念として語られます。」”

The Plot to Kill Jesus
1 It was now two days before the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to arrest him by stealth and kill him, 2for they said, “Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar from the people.”
Jesus Anointed at Bethany
3 And while he was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he was reclining at table, a woman came with an alabaster flask of ointment of pure nard, very costly, and she broke the flask and poured it over his head. 4There were some who said to themselves indignantly, “Why was the ointment wasted like that?
5For this ointment could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor.” And they scolded her.
6But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a beautiful thing to me.
7For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want, you can do good for them. But you will not always have me.
8She has done what she could; she has anointed my body beforehand for burial.
9And truly, I say to you, wherever the gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will be told in memory of her.”
